My name is Antonio Gonzalez Montoya, sole owner and contractor of Montoya Tile. I began my journey in the industry over 20 years ago in North Carolina. I have worked in many different jobs nationwide, finally settling in the San Francisco Bay area in 2004. I worked for various tile and stone companies as well as contractors over the last decade and finally became a licensed independent contractor in 2018. Since then, I've taken on jobs all over the Bay Area and even as far as Patterson, Santa Rosa, and Sacramento.

I specialize in all custom residential tile work. Whether it's a custom tile fireplace, a tile patio, or even a simple kitchen backsplash or standing shower installation, I do it all. Although over 95% of the jobs I take are residential, I do take on some smaller commercial jobs as well. I work together with many different general contractors, interior designers, and sometimes directly with clients to ensure the installation is completed as quickly as possible without compromising the quality.

SACRAMENTO - OUTDOOR BAR
My client for this particular project wanted the bar & grill floor to be tiled as well as the steps leading up to the bar on either side of their house. We had enough material to tile an empty ledge next to one of the steps which can now be used to set down food and drinks to keep them accessable to guests on the downstairs patio.
SAN BRUNO - CUSTOM NICHE
If you want a niche in your shower or bath but don't like the size or look of the prebuilt niche frames you see in stores, not a problem! Depending on your budget, we can build and frame a custom niche for your new shower or bath. We can use the same tiles you are using for the walls, floor, or accents, or even build a niche from scratch out of stone slabs.
LAFAYETTE - CUSTOM FIREPLACE
This particular client had already been remodeling 2 showers/baths, a powder room, a laundry room, backyard steps, and front yard steps and patio (all with new tile being installed) and in the end added on this fireplace as well. It came out beautiful, especially with the recycled wood mantel they added after the tile installation was complete.
EBMUD ADMIN BUILDING - KITCHEN
This was a project done for a breakroom kitchen in the EBMUD Administration building in Oakland. The tiles had a beatiful wave texture that looked even more stunning when finally intalled as a backsplash. The colors paired really well with the brushed nickle of the niche trim, range hood, and cabinet hardware.
